Sometimes the two cards dealt by the dealer are consecutive. The example of consecutive cards is 7 and 8 or J and Q. To play the game till the end there should happen a non-consecutive hand. In the case of a non-consecutive hand the dealer announces the spread between the two dealt cards. The value of the third card is compared to the value of the first two cards. You win if the value of the third card falls between the values of the first two cards.
