How to Play Red Dog.
before playing the game players have to make bets. You can increase or decrease the bet amount. Two cards will be dealt by the dealer. A Red Dog is placed on the table indicating the spread between the two cards the dealer has drawn. Sometimes the first initial cards dealt by the dealer are the cards of the same value (a pair). The example of consecutive cards is 7 and 8 or J and Q. In the case of a consecutive hand the hand is declared a push and the player is given his original bet back. In the case of a non-consecutive hand the dealer announces the spread between the two dealt cards. A red Dog is places on the table to indicate the spread between two cards. For example the spread between a 3 and a 10 is 6(4,5,6,7,8,9).
When the spread is announced and marked (by the Red Dog), players have to decide whether they want to raise an initial bet or not. The payoff in Red Dog depends on the spread. If there is a one card spread the payout is 5:1. (If first two dealt cards are a 8 and a 10 and the third card is a 9 you are paid 5:1). In the case of a 4 to 11 card spread the payout is 1:1 Red Dog Payoff |
