Sometimes the two cards dealt by the dealer are consecutive. To play the game till the end there should happen a non-consecutive hand. The spread is the number of values that fall between two drawn cards. The value of the third card is compared to the value of the first two cards. You win if the value of the third card falls between the values of the first two cards.
