How to Play Red Dog.

In the case of a consecutive hand the hand is declared a push and the player is given his original bet back. To play the game till the end there should happen a non-consecutive hand. In the case of a non-consecutive hand the dealer announces the spread between the two dealt cards. A red Dog is places on the table to indicate the spread between two cards. For example the spread between a 3 and a 10 is 6(4,5,6,7,8,9).
When the spread is announced and marked (by the Red Dog), players have to decide whether they want to raise an initial bet or not. You win if the value of the third card falls between the values of the first two cards.
