Sometimes the first initial cards dealt by the dealer are the cards of the same value (a pair). The dealer deals the third card. If the value of the third card is different from the value of the first two cards the player is given his bet back. If the third drawn card is of the same value, the player is paid 11:1. The example of consecutive cards is 7 and 8 or J and Q. To play the game till the end there should happen a non-consecutive hand. In the case of a non-consecutive hand the dealer announces the spread between the two dealt cards. The spread is the number of values that fall between two drawn cards.
When the spread is announced and marked (by the Red Dog), players have to decide whether they want to raise an initial bet or not. You win if the value of the third card falls between the values of the first two cards.
