Sometimes the first initial cards dealt by the dealer are the cards of the same value (a pair). If there are two equal cards the player will not lose anyway. If the third drawn card is of the same value, the player is paid 11:1. In the case of a consecutive hand the hand is declared a push and the player is given his original bet back. In the case of a non-consecutive hand the dealer announces the spread between the two dealt cards. A red Dog is places on the table to indicate the spread between two cards. For example the spread between a 3 and a 10 is 6(4,5,6,7,8,9).
