Sometimes the two cards dealt by the dealer are consecutive. In the case of a non-consecutive hand the dealer announces the spread between the two dealt cards. A red Dog is places on the table to indicate the spread between two cards. For example the spread between a 3 and a 10 is 6(4,5,6,7,8,9).
